Local Pears

We bought pears at the market this week! They have pretty tough skin and aren't quite as sweet as the California pears we bought last week, but they are local and almost as crisp as apples. They baked up perfectly in a crumble the other night. I wish I'd remembered to take a photo before we scarfed it.

i would have never thought to bake a pear crumble! oh wow! if you make another crumble with more of your local pears you have to post a picture so i can drool over it! mmmmmmmmm! i ♥ pears so much! usually we just grill them or broil them, but now that i know i can make a crumble! yay! thanks! :)
