I'm tired of being sick, so I'm drinking loads of tea and juice and eating bowl after bowl of this soup. I made it with an entire bulb of garlic, a huge chunk of ginger, a bit of stock powder, some Braggs, lemon juice, crushed red pepper, vermicelli and a bundle of herbs from the garden. If you can think of anything that would make this even more of a magical healing soup, let me know and I'll add it to the batch I make today. I'm pretty sure that I have bronchitis that will just have to run its course, but I figure this can't hurt.

Sick Soup

Hey that's what I'm eating right now too! Mine's pretty much the same, but I cooked carrots and ginger along with the noodles so that they would sort of make their own broth. Usually I use shitaake mushrooms which make a better broth, but I'm out.
I'm not sick yet, but the boy is and I'm hoping to get him better before we get on an airplane at 6 and keep the rest of us healthy in the meantime.
I hope you feel better quick!
Aw, being sick on a plane is the worst! Hope the soup staved it off some. I think that mushrooms would have definitely made a better broth than the powder--I'll have to do try that next time.
