Yeah, Chickpeas

Tonight, we had fresh garbanzos for the first time. They were amazing. I'd never seen them in stores until we started shopping at Fiesta. I don't know why we all don't eat them all of the time. They are so incredibly tasty. I ate about half of them raw with my lunch. Uncooked, they have the taste and texture of fresh peas, but not as sweet. I cooked the rest of them for dinner using these instructions, and they were even better. We finished off a giant plateful of them. I read an article today that said, in certain regions of Mexico, they are served on the street topped with chili, lime and salt. That's definitely the plan for next time.
