Best Blueberries Ever

best blueberries ever

These blueberries are yet another reason that I haven't been cooking much lately. I've come to the conclusion that it is definitely worth suffering the insane Dallas heat for the benefit of eating some of the best tasting produce I've ever had. These are from a couple of guys from east TX who aren't certified organic, but farm using organic methods. Everything we've bought from them has been awesome. If you happen to be in Dallas, go downtown to the market, into the local shed, and look for them on the far end of the left side. They've had blueberries, blackberries, squash, cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes so far. We also get tomatoes from Lemley's on the other side of the shed. The big baskets of "ugly" seconds are only $6. You get about 10-12 large or 15-20 medium tomatoes. Some of them may be a little overripe, but we eat them so quickly that it's not a problem. In fact, we've been eating so many tomatoes that we bought 2 baskets from them this week, plus a little basket of cherry tomatoes and a few low acid yellow tomatoes from the berry guys. I dread the end of the growing season.
